The
business plan is done (for the present; and in most cases it will
go through a year or two of edits) and you have either hired a brokerage
firm or you are shopping the plan yourself. If you are looking for
investment capital from private sources such as venture capitalists,
in the next several months (sometimes years), you will attend many
business lunches, answer a lot of questions and hope that the personnel
handling day-to-day operations are up to the task
Until
financing closes, it may feel as if you are in the business of raising
money.
An
important part of this process, however, is developing the game
plan and working with the people that can help you.
Mr.
Cooke has worked with clients in preparing and shopping their business
ideas and business plans.
Examples
include:
- A $25 Million
Dollar start-up airline private placement as General Counsel
- A new style surgical glove technology company
- A barbeque grill manufacturing company
- A theraputic athletic product design company (Specific hot/cold
products)
- An electronic peripheral company (joy sticks)
- A beer serving accessary, storage and home brewing supply company
- A Dairy Agricultural business
- An On-line private label music promoter
