 Protecting and
using your trademark or servicemark can maintain one of the business'
potentially valuable assets. When you have decided to protect your
trademark, contact Mr. Cooke and work with him to determine that
you have a distinctive mark. Next have Mr.
Cooke prepare a comprehensive clearance search and provide a legal
opinion on whether the mark is available for use and registration.
After a positive evaluation, Mr. Cooke can work with you to prepare
the application for registration. Before registration,
a business can designate its trademark by using "TM."
Do not use the "®" symbol before the Patent and Trademark
Office issues a Certificate of Registration. To contact Mr.
Cooke, call him at (312) 497-9002 or email him at "gc@Cookeslaw.com".
