Contracts are
part of day-to-day life. Some are oral and some are written, but
they involve people coming together to strike a deal.
In some places,
people may say "We do not need a written contract. You have
my word, on my honor, that this is the deal."
Mr. Cooke believes
that people are generally honorable, but how many people remember
a conversation that occurred 2 or even 10 years ago? Because of
time and memory, the written contract should be used to memorialize
the business discussions for future reference. Therefore, the written
contract does not challenge honor or integrity.
And that is
a major part of reducing the risk of business transactions.
In the contract
area, Mr. Cooke has set-out contracts and clauses that are general
and not specific to other other areas of Cooke's Law.
